THE LINING UP - RETHINKING OFFICE SPACES
The winning entrants of Ken Group are Kiran bhosale, Sweekar
Mehta, Ashwini shitole and Avinash Kavthalkar. In this generation of entrepreneurs and their aspirations, the competition aimed to design a small-scale collaborative start-up business office for young entrepreneurs in the IT sector. The brief envisions an outcome where the idea of the conventional office is completely stripped of its formal essentials, and reinvented to be a dynamic, versatile and lively space fostering innovation and creativity in users.
The LUNCH BOX -reinventing the office spaces in India provided us a platform to create a new approach through the planning and curation of work, play and rest in healthy environment that enhances productivity, flattens work hierarchies and evokes an atmosphere inducing creative thought and collaborations among people.
REVIVING THE CONTEXT -The main Ideology was to reflect the richness of its cultural context creating a dialogue with the ethos of its surroundings, which lead to the origin of form reflecting the edges of Sheelavanthakere Lake emanated through the process of Genealogy resulting in the number of spline edges in the built form. This process can now be repeated adding new lines of symmetrical deformation. These open lines can be used for macro level formal moves or micro level detail. Using these parameters it is possible to
create a large form embedded with a 'Genealogy'.
